The sun’s out, it’s pay day… let’s have a BBQ!!
And so a tasty thought was planted with two days’ notice. But a challenge that involves food was never going to fail! And so it was that, with a bit of quick thinking teamwork, the ec2i crew rustled up a lunchtime event that any festival goer would be proud of.
Our resident hippie, Chrissy, filled his camper van with rugs and assorted oriental cushions which we spread across our lawns; the ever-resourceful Phil brought in his own super-sized bbq and sourced and cooked chicken skewers and sausages; idea initiator Julia did a super pre-day lunchtime shop bringing in drinks and other assorted nibbles. The sun shone and our great company came out to play!
And play they did as Luke devised a giant ‘Play Your Cards Right’ and had everybody in stitches. With suitable music provided by Chrissy, it was the best extended lunch hour in the history of ec2i. Roll on Fri August 30 for another pay day bbq… we just need some more sunshine!
