Last month our client, L’Occitane, asked us to produce some shots for the UK market of their exclusive Almond hair care products (which smell amazing btw!).
Firstly, we were tasked to alter a promotional image (supplied by their international team) using product specifically for the UK market which would be used for POS purposes.
It was vital to retain the lighting of the original shot on the new product and to replicate the rustic wood and beautiful marble base whilst keeping the whole image looking realistic. This involved careful lighting techniques and hi-end retouching to create the composed POS image taking care of every finite detail, down to the labels and the bubbles in the bottles.
Alongside this retouching, we were also asked to produce a lifestyle image (below) of the product for use on the QVC shopping channel.
The brief was to provide a shot based on their initial concept, adding more colour and dynamics to the products. Shot outside, behind our studios, the team introduced grass and hessian to give the image more depth and appeal in keeping with the rustic Provence landscape of the L’Occitane brand. Natural light, sunlight and shadows added to the evocative style of the shot.
The two final shots created for the UK campaign were used on air for a successful launch on QVC and online in email and social media posts. The client is “very pleased with the outcome of the visuals and sales of the product” and we are glad to be part of the success for such a prestigious brand.
